Coty and Georgia May Jagger Raise $4 Mill for Blood Cancer

The supermodel is Coty's new Global Ambassador in the fight against blood cancer.

Georgia May Jagger—supermodel and face of Coty’s color cosmetics brand Rimmel and fragrance brand Just Cavalli—has accepted an appointment as the first Coty Global Ambassador in the fight against blood cancer.

Coty is founding corporate sponsor of Delete Blood Cancer-DKMS, the world’s largest bone-marrow-donor-registration center.

At the eighth Delete Blood Cancer Gala on May 7th at Cipriani Wall Street, Jagger helped Coty raise a record $4 million.

In conjunction with the event, the Empire State Building lit up the skies from sunset on May 7 until 2 a.m. on May 8 to help raise awareness of Delete Blood Cancer and its cause, as well as to celebrate the Gala and its fundraising goals. Jagger is shown in the photo, at the switch to light the building, with Katharina Harf, Delete Blood Cancer’s co-founder.

Jagger commented:

“Since I first became involved with this important cause—the battle against blood cancer—I have been exploring ways to increase my role in bringing attention to something that has the potential to save so many lives…I feel very honored to be the first Coty Global Ambassador in the fight against blood cancer, and I look forward to teaching everyone just how easy it is to register as a bone marrow donor.”

During the star-studded event, Katharina Harf, co-founder of Delete Blood Cancer-DKMS and co-host of the event, presented the “Delete Blood Cancer Award” to Evan Sohn and the Sohn Conference Foundation, recognizing the foundation’s dedication to the treatment and cure of pediatric cancer. After the award presentation, the event featured two unforgettable performances by pop/rock artist LP and celebrity singer-songwriter Jessie J.

Jagger is also the face of Angel.
